In 2008 a close family friend was getting ready to retire after 30 successful years in the medical field. As he prepared to sell his practice, the potential buyer hired an account to come in and check the financial

state of the business prior to purchase. The accountant found a number of discrepancies where the numbers were not adding up and raised the concerns to the retiring professional. Distraught, he tapped into his network to find out who can help. 

He worked closely with resources that had extensive backgrounds in forensic accounting to track down various methods of embezzlement. As the process began, the professional made comments such as "as long as my paycheck was the same, I thought everything was great" and "my office manager wouldn't do that as she has been on vacations with our family and has worked for me for 20+ years." As the investigation progressed it was determined that she had embezzled $1M+ over the years from the practice. 

After this experience and finding this is far more common than anyone realizes, Dolos was born. Our solution has been under development and evolving for almost the last decade to ensure our product helps protect you, your family and your practice.
